Hey everyone!  It's been a little while since I posted anything.  I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas/Holiday.  Between traveling for Christmas and my job, I'm just outright tired :)  I must have been a good girl this year because I got a lot of exciting cricut stuff for Christmas and I can't wait to start using them!  My wonderful fiance bought me a gypsy, the Simply Charmed cartridge, and a new digital camera!!!  No more bad pictures :)  And my parents got me a cuttlebug and a cricut jukebox.  All in all... I had a wonderful "Cricut" Christmas and I hope that you did as well.

Hopefully I will have the energy to start creating some new things soon!

My Pink Stamper Challenge - Day 8 (Color)

Hey everyone!  Robyn over at My Pink Stamper (www.mypinkstamper.com) posted another challenge.  This challenge was to use teal or blue, brown, and green.  This is my creation...

The background contains all the colors needed to compete in the challenge and it gave me my inspiration :)  I cut the background from Plantin Schoolbook using the rectangle at 5 3/4".  The scallops came from page 55 in the Winter Woodland handbook.  I cut the green one at 4 1/4" and the ivory one at 4".  The bird and phrase came from the Create a Critter cartridge on page 65.  I cut the bird and all her layers at 3 1/4" and then cut the phrase and it's layer at 1 1/2".

I just got "pop dots" so.... I went a little crazy :)  I put one on the wing and bow, several on the bird, and two on the phrase.  I also used my yellow stickles to color in the birds nose and my crystal stickles to color in the phrase... I promise the phrase looks better in person than it does in the picture.  I'm not sure why it looks so horrible.

Hope you like it!

My Pink Stamper Challenge - Color

Hi everyone!  Robyn over at My Pink Stamper (mypinkstamper.com) posted another challenge.  The challenge was to use color: using 2 shades of pink, 2 shades of blue, and black.  This is what I created.

I used my Create a Critter cartridge and Plantin Schoolbook to make this card.  The card is a standard A2 size card.  I cut the black background by using Plantin Schoolbook and cutting the rectangle at 5 1/2".  I then cut the fishbowl and all it's layers on page 43 at 3 1/2".  Finally, I cut the fish and all it's layers at 1 1/2".  I wrote the sentiment by using a white gelly roll pen that I bought from Peachy Keen Stamps and drew the fish hook on some scrap brown paper and cut it out.

I don't know why the colors are so washed out.  The black doesn't really look black and the pink almost looks like peach.  Hmmm.... Anyways, I hope you like it!

Happy Holidays

Hi everyone!  I made this card for my grandma... she LOVES cardinals so I'm pretty sure that she will like this card.  I made this card using my winter woodland cartridge, plantin schoolbook cartridge, and peachy keen stamp set Christmas Greetings Words.

I cut the patterned background paper at 5 3/4", and the green background paper at 5" using the (shift) rectangle from plantin schoolbook on page 74.

I cut the larger scallop at 4 1/4" and the smaller scallop at 4" from winter woodland using the tag feature for the skater on page 50.  I then cut the bird, bird-s, and layer from winter woodland on page 59 at 2 1/2".  Finally, I cut the tree branch from winter woodland on page 38 at 1 1/2".  I didn't cut the branch-s or the layer because I knew that I was going use stickles to add a little sparkle; I used "crystal" stickles on the ends of the tree branch.
Hope you all had a great day!  I can't believe that it's almost Christmas. It doesn't seem like it should be here yet... Where did the year go?

Ho, Ho, Ho!

Hey everyone!  I created this card using the new Cricut Lite cartridge Jolly Holidays.  I cut the house and all layers at 4 1/2 inches.  I used my Peacy Keen stamp set Christmas Greeting Words (PK-859) for the ho, ho, ho!  I also used my icicle stickles to go over the snow to add a little sparkle :)  I wish that my phone took better pictures so you could see all the detail... I'm asking for a new camera for Christmas (fingers crossed).

I really like all the characters on the Jolly Holidays cartridge, but some of them have so many layers that it's hard to line them up correctly and can be very time consuming.  The house didn't take too long, but I did one of the elves yesterday and he took me awhile to put together.  Anyways, hope you like this card!

Simple Christmas Card

Hi everyone.  I wish I could remember all the sizes and everything for this card, but I can't.  I cut the mittens and scarf from the Winter Woodland cartridge at 2 1/2, I think.  I got the stamp from Paper Crafts magazine; they had it attached to the front of this months issue.

I got the red, green, and white stripped paper from Tuesday Mornings and the off-white glitter paper came in a paper pack from DCWV.

Hope that you all had a wonderful day!
